Gallery – Yoga classes

The following yoga classes are offered at the centre:

  • Yoga classes– beginner to intermediate level
    • Every Monday, 18:00 – 19:00 ,  Yoga with Rekha
    • Every Wednesday, 18:15 – 19:15 ,  Yoga with Radhekshmi
    • Every Wednesday, 10:30 – 11:30 ,  Yoga with Sarita
    • Every Friday, 18:15 – 19:15 ,  Yoga with Radhekshmi
    • Every Saturday, 06:00 – 07:00 , Yoga with Prakash
  • Yoga for kids (7 -14 years)
    • Every Sunday, 07:15 – 08:15 yoga for kids class with Radhekshmi

The fee is to be paid at the start of the class, and it is for one month.

The benefits of yoga are almost endless! Practicing yoga helps build healthy virtues and good values, such as discipline, honesty, devotion, self-inquiry, mindfulness, and non-attachment. Yoga empowers you to make conscious choices toward living a more healthy and fulfilling life.

Regular practice of  Yoga also helps you:
• Improve and maintain the health of muscles, joints, and organs
• Improve flexibility, strength, stamina, mobility, range of motion, and balance
• Keep your mind healthy and strong
• Reduce stress and promote relaxation
• Get a better night’s sleep
• Boost your immune system
• Prevent conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and auto-immune disorders
• Help heal common aches like back pain
• Increase happiness and well being and reduce depression

Advice to Participants:
1. Kindly wear loose cotton clothes (t-shirt and leggings/trousers, or sports wear) for the yoga practice.
2. Kindly bring to your classes:
– Yoga mat
– Small towel
– Bottle of water
– Small cushion (optional)
3. Yoga is meant to be practiced on an empty stomach, therefore please do not consume any meal less than 3 hours prior to the class (if it is a heavy meal, it cannot be consumed less than 5-6 hours prior to yoga). Food may be consumed at least 30 minutes after yoga practice.
4. Please make sure you drink plenty of water especially on days when you practice yoga. You may drink water 30 mins before practice; During practice you may take some sips of water if necessary (but do not drink large quantities); You may then drink water 15 mins after practice.
5. Female participants are advised to avoid certain yoga postures during menstruation; however, it is still advised to attend the class during this period to relax. If they feel they have sufficient energy, they may follow the light body stretching postures under supervision of the yoga teacher.
