Reiki Natural Healing Centre
Way back in year 1997, Master Sangeeta and Master Vijay Raghavan started their journey in Energy Healing and Spiritual Development with Reiki under the name of Reiki Natural Healing Centre in a small house at Avenue Stanley, Rose Hill. It was the 1st Reiki Centre in Mauritius and was serving over 100 of patients weekly with free Reiki healings.
Reiki Natural Healing Foundation
As from 1st July 2000, the Centre shifted to the “Red House”, a rented premised at 262, Sookdeo Issur Lane, Bonne Terre Vacoas. We operated there under the name Reiki Healing Natural Foundation.
Ever since, Master Vijay and Master Sangeeta have both been supporting people from all walks of life with love, healing and spiritual wisdom to enrich the quality of their life and well-being. Simple housewives have become good healers and have become stronger emotionally and spiritually. Students who took Reiki started performing far better academically and have become more responsible citizens.
An Association was registered
In the December 2004, a group of like minded souls joined hands together with Master Vijay and Master Sangeeta to create an association to develop and scale up the activities.
On 1st April 2005, Reiki Foundation was registered at the Registrar of Associations, with Reg no. 8452.
The association was also approved as a Charitable Institution.
September 2005 – Purchased the rented property
After 5 years of rental, the owner suddenly informed us that the xxx sq ft property was for sale urgently.
The sale price was much above our financial capability. With practically nothing in our bank account, we started looking for other properties around the island.
- Some well wishers came forward with the idea of fund raising through soft loans.
- Within a couple of weeks we could gather sufficient funds and together with a bank loan we purchased the property.
- In September 2005, the Foundation became owner of the “Red House”.
- Till now, we cannot believe how all happened so quickly. This was sheer divine grace!
April 2006 – Construction of New building
In April 2006, the 50-years old “Red House” building was pulled down. The construction started for a new building to cater for the expansion of the activities and to accommodate more number of participants.
Change of name from “Reiki Foundation” to “Centre for Natural Healing and Meditation“
In October 2006, in view expanding the activities in the field of Natural Healing and Holistic Health, and offering other healing modalities under the same umbrella in a universal manner, the name of the association Reiki Foundation was changed to Centre for Natural Healing and Meditation
In addition to Holistic Reiki, Pranic Healing, Magnified Healing, Karuna Reiki, the Centre started including the following activities: Yoga, Pranayama, Tai Chi, Pilates,
Launched the newsletter “Soldiers of Light”
Inauguration of the new building for Centre for Natural Healing and Meditation
