Lord Krishna makes it clear: nothing in this changing world can provide permanent happiness. However, Krishna is not saying there is no happiness. He is awakening us to reality…. reality that everything is bound to change. People change. Situations change. Even our feelings change — One moment we feel hopeful, loving, inspired and happy. Another moment, the same situation feels different. What once gave joy may later give pain. And this is true for relationships, possessions, achievements and circumstances.
The problem is not enjoyment, dear friends. The problem is attachment. Krishna is simply reminding us of the nature of life: Enjoy what comes. Appreciate people. Value happy moments. But do not cling so tightly that you feel you cannot live without them. Live fully. Love deeply. But stay inwardly free.
Have a blissful day. So Hum.
